Project Car: Nissan S13 240sx (Part 1)
JD's Project Car by jd posted 2008/-0/7- I got busy last night an stripped my interior down. The chassis is a 1992 S13 Hatch imported to me from Florida. The original owner had plans to secure the interior with a complete sound system so he decided to install DYNAMAT EXTREME along the floor and siding on the rear hatch. As previously mentionned, the objective for the car is to significantly reduce the NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) all the while keeping the curb weight to a minimum. I plan to evenly spray 2-3 coats of QuietCoat not only the interior sheet metal, but to the backing of the Interior Panelling and under-belly of the chassis Quite Coat: http://quietcoat.stores.yahoo (Thank you: KNATE )Though there already is Dynamat Extreme installed, I don't feel this is sufficient in keep the NVH away and funnel cabin decibal levels efficiently, especially with an Extrenally Wastegdated SR20, exhausting its fumes through a 3.5 inch + Cat-Back system. I got busy late last night stripping the interior down and removing the harness fron the Driver's side Fuse Panlel all the way around to the Passenger Speakers, Electronic SeatBelt Motor and "Door-Ajar Indicator.
